52-year-old Thomas Doherty is a renewable energy executive and the romance was revealed during Susan’s 64th birthday celebration in Blackburn, Scotland. This is the first time that Susan has been public about our relationship in more than 20 years.
Thomas gave a nod to her 2019 hit, ‘You’re the Voice’ by presenting her with a musical note engraved promise ring bearing that inscription. You could tell that Susan was touched but she was also a bit taken aback.
Before she readily accepted, she said: “At my age?” They even had an impromptu duet of her ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ that brought the audience to tears.
