HOUSTON — The daughter of a college football coach with Houston ties died in the July 4th flood in the Texas Hill Country, her family said on Friday.
Kellyanne Lytal was at Camp Mystic when floodwaters roared through early Friday morning while most people were still sleeping.

On Sunday, Wade Lytal, the offensive coordinator at Trinity University who played football at Memorial High School, said his daughter hadn’t been found.
In a statement on Friday, the family said Kellyanne’s remains had been found.
“Kellyanne was a shining light in this world,” the statement said. “She was kind, fearless, silly, compassionate, and a loving friend to everyone.”
The family said they find comfort knowing that Kellyanne is in heaven and thanked God for “eight magical years” with her.
Wade Lytal also shared a sweet video of his daughter singing at her school’s Christmas pageant last December.
The family has established a memorial foundation in Kellyanne’s honor.
“This fund will support meaningful philanthropic efforts that reflect Kellyanne’s kind spirit and will ensure that her light continues to shine brightly in the world,” they said.
