Britain’s Got Talent star Sydnie Christmas announces debut single and hints at a dream collaboration for her next big step
SYDNIE CHRISTMAS has tried her hand at original music – and she hopes one song will become a rugby anthem.
The Britain’s Got Talent winner, who is a keen player of the sport, has just announced she will release track Run on April 17, following on from her debut album of covers, My Way, in 2024, the same year as her reality show victory.

Sitting down with Bizarre’s Jack on the set of the upcoming music video in central London, Syd said: “I’m really nervous but also very excited.
“I just want it to do well.
“For me it’s quite an anthemic track. My dream is for it to be played at the women’s rugby as I played that for years.
“You know, as the players walk out or maybe in a montage of the footage.
“Even a few days after I won BGT I was back on the pitch.”

Run, written with Gabrielle Alpin, is the lead single to what will be Sydnie’s first album of original music which is due out in September.
And she’s hoping to work on it with Eurovision runner-up Sam Ryder.

Sydnie added: “There is so much talent out there but honestly, I’d love to work with Sam. His voice is just amazing.
“He’s coming to the West End too with Jesus Christ Superstar.”

With Sam going from Eurovision to the stage this summer, would Syd be open to the same in reverse?
She said: “I’d love to do Eurovision. I’d love it if they would have me next year.”
Let’s see how our 2026 hopeful Look Mum No Computer does first.
