On Tuesday, Feb. 17, the former professional figure skater, 43, shared a few photos on her Instagram of her 2-year-old daughter Georgie meeting Ilia Malinin, who recently won gold at the U.S. team figure skating event at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

In the first photo, Malinin could be seen gently placing his gold medal over Georgie’s head. The little one reached out to hands to grasp the necklace, and then rested on the figure skater’s lap for a few sweet snaps.

,” Lipinski wrote in her caption. “You can tell Ilia is a great big brother, he was just so sweet with Georgie. .” 

The 2026 Winter Olympics aren’t the first games that Georgie has attended. In August 2024, Lipinski had her daughter by her side as she attended the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. The proud mom shared some sweet snaps on her Instagram from her day in the city of light.

Georgie sat and smiled on the hotel room bed, adorably sporting a dress printed with iconic Paris landmarks and wearing a baby pink beret monogrammed with her initials “GW.”

In more photos, the mother-daughter duo smiled in front of the Eiffel Tower, while Lipinski held her little one.

“Gigi in Paris Day 1 ,” the mom of one captioned her post.

In May, Lipinski spoke with PEOPLE and shared that she and husband Kapostasy are trying to have a second baby. The Olympian, who has been open in the past about her fertility struggles, said she and her husband have begun talking about growing their family.

“We are definitely wanting to bring a sibling to Georgie, so we are in the process of starting our second journey,” Lipinski told PEOPLE. “But that’s a long process and there’s always what ifs with that, but fingers crossed, but maybe that can happen for us.”

Lipinski has been open in the past about her long road to becoming a mother and her struggle with infertility. The professional athlete in total had four D&Cs, a surgical procedure often performed after a miscarriage during which the cervix is dilated so that abnormal tissue can be removed from the uterine lining, per Johns Hopkins Medicine, six failed in vitro fertilization (IVF) transfers and eight egg retrievals.

Her doctors eventually also diagnosed her with endometriosis, for which she had to have two major surgeries. She went on to welcome her daughter Georgie in October 2023 via surrogate.
