Billionaires’ row: The world’s 10 most expensive streets
Home to royalty and Facebook founders, these are the lavish streets that house the wealthiest members of society.
But it is not just private houses that line these streets paved with gold, there are also plenty of shops and tourist attractions to engross visitors keen to immerse themselves in the extravagance.
Unsurprisingly, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge live on the second most expensive street in the world, Kensington Palace Gardens in London, which is valued at £69,900 per square metre.

Located between the Champs Elysees Avenue and the Seine river banks, Avenue Montaigne is the fanciest shopping avenue of Paris and in the top ten most expensive streets in the world
However this is beaten by Pollock’s Path in Hong Kong, where the average price per square metre is a staggering HK$930,670 (£79,351).
The data, provided by real estate consultancy Knight Frank, listed Avenue Princesse Grace in Monaco as being the world’s third priciest street.
Home to a whole host of celebrities, tourists may be able to catch a glimpse of its famous residents who include Andrea Bocelli, Roger Moore, Lewis Hamilton and Helena Christensen.
Also in the top five are Boulevard du Général de Gaulle, Cap Ferrat in France and Paterson Hill in Singapore, where Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin has a house.
One of New York’s most famous shopping roads, Fifth Avenue, also made the top ten with the price said to increase on average 5.4 per cent annually.

1. Pollock’s Path, The Peak, Hong Kong

Taking the title for the world’s most expensive street is Pollock’s Path, atop Victoria Peak in Hong Kong. In 2011 one property reportedly sold for HK$800 million (£67 million).
Skyhigh, a housing development at 10-18 Pollock’s Path is one of the most prestigious developments on the path.
Tourists can check out Peak Tower on the street, which has a shopping complex along with restaurants, cafes and a 1404-foot viewing platform.

London’s priciest area was once home to royalty with none other than the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge living at Kensington Palace overlooking the city’s most expensive street, Kensington Palace Gardens.
The average property valued at £42.6 million, according to Zoopla, which is no surprise when you take into account the large park on the street, along with multiple high-end shops and sophisticated restaurants nearby.

But it is not just a stomping ground for the wealthy, tourists can find numerous examples of Art Nouveau architecture from the late 19th and early 20th centuries on the street, along with visiting locals bars and restaurants.
